eight years ago in 1999, the company had been into operations
a year earlier since 1998. Then, the product basket was merely
three products with an on air presence of two hours across four
channels. In a short period of 180 days the company sold over
three lakh units and had as many satisfied customers. Today more
than 40% of SMART customers are those who have bought SMART products
more than once. |

a year, recognizing the need of their consumer to touch and feel
the product, the company launched the concept of an exclusive
SMART franchise that met with a tremendous success and by the end
of 2001 the company had a well spread out network of dedicated
franchises all over Bangladesh. |
